LG BD640 Network Wireless Blu-ray Disc Player – $149.99
i used to be told by a chum that this unit was great but i couldn’t find many reviews at amazon and in fact it had just one review and was negative. I went to my local video store and so they had the unit for a very good price plus a 30 days a refund guarantee so I gave it a try. Setup took me under 10 minutes in total, from the instant I opened the box to the instant i used to be streaming a Netflix movie.
I have a wireless network created with an Apple Airport Express router. I connected the LG unit to the television with an HDMI cable (not included). Connected the unit to the AC power and connected the included USB wireless adaptor. Once I turned the unit ON, the house screen was easy to know, went to SETUP and clicked on NETWORK. My home network was listed, entered my password and in 30 seconds it was connected. I went to HOME, clicked at the ONLINE icon after which clicked on Netflix icon. The unit connected, gave me a Netflix code that I entered in my account using my computer and in not up to 1 minute i used to be connected and skimming titles.
Picture quality excellent. Overall very satisfied. DVD quality in addition to Blu-Ray quality is superb and clone of higher end units that retail for 2x more.
